Background:

Oromi and his family were captured by an evil sorceror when Oromi was quite young and the entire tribe spent decades enslaved and engaged in building a trap-studded underground maze intended as the final resting-place of a lich. When the job was complete all those involved in building the site were to be walled within and slain by undead guardians. Oromi and a few others managed a small revolt and escaped before they were entombed. Despite elaborate planning the escape was detected and they have been hunted mercilessly. Oromi may be the last alive to know the location of the horrible tomb.

Those forced into service building the tomb were a mixed lot of creatures forced to work together under trying circumstances. Consequently Oromi is open-minded regarding a host of creatures including lizard men, ogres, minotaurs, orcs, and kobolds. He tolerates goblins better than many dwarves. Oromi fears and hates the undead due to his familiarity with them.
