The Cult of Mythrys
This is the dominant religion in the City and much of the surrounding lands, particularly among humans. Its followers believe in a single true god called the Monad, which they worship indirectly through the 21 emanations of the Major Arcana. They believe that all other gods are simply different faces of the Monad's emanations.
The cult's origins are attributed to the prophet Mythrys, who lived several centuries ago. Cult lore claims that he was born of Maiden Wisdom.
Numerous holy days in the City are tied to the Mythric calendar, typically associated with history's multitude of Mythric saints.
A temple of the Mythric cult is a mythraeum.
The cult is a mystery religion with 21 initiations, each tied to a different emanation. It is said that the 21st initiation has but one initiate: the Secret Pope, who has drunk of the Grail of Mythrys and dwells in the hidden High Mythraeum.
