The War in Glantri, Year 211
Glantri is once again mobilizing its limited military forces to ward off Darokinese troops from out of the Disputed Territories. The country is relying more and more heavily on magic-users and mercenaries. It will do little good to draw up the militia to repel the enemy legions if that means the fields are not sown.
Caurenze is already thought to have surrendered. Most believe that the Darokinese forces, under their new general, will march on Glantri City in a matter of weeks — or even days. The mood on the street varies widely. Some gloomily expect surrender or massacre, while others look forward to watching the sedentary wizards of the city unleash the full measure of their powers.
