Selphy, your resident terrible tactician, explains: A silver piece is only 1/10 of a gold piece, yet it is also the bane of the level-draining wight. There is no excuse for half our party to let a wight get attacks at one of us.
Every PC should make sure that they have, before they leave, a missile and melee option that includes either magic or silvered attack options.
Sling bullets: metal bearings that can be dipped in silver should be tested in our own headquarters first.
Arrowheads: dip a few in silver, I can imagine more than 1-2 coins per arrow being required.
Mace: same thing. Carry an additional mace dipped in silver that you only use for these encounters. this could be a bit more costly, but not much more than a silver dagger.
Larger 2h weapons: even better, but will be more costly.
The jars are filled with fresh monster gore when you start, or other animal kill.
Pack cost (backpack) = 5g
Mini-loot drop = <20g
5 vials of oil: 10 gold
Clay jars (and padding) = 1g

The simplest solution is to take about 50g from each player and say 'you buy a company backpack,' and make this part of the game. The company can even sell these to our members at 55g with a 5g donation going to Trianomma for her efforts in assisting us with this.
