What blog service/hosting to use?

Hey guys,

Once upon a time at the table I saw skatay writing down all the websites he had to post new artwork to like deviant art and whatnot.
I have been thinking I want to compile all my game art into one spot so I don't keep spamming the redbox boards. So I have some professional practice / technical questions for those of you in the know. My intent is to keep this stuff relatively separate from my other artwork because of different intent, so I don't want to use my existing domain. (This split in artwork is a whole 'nother line of discussion.)

• Should I have one blog for ALL game related art (Car Wars maps and other oddities included) , or set one up just for illustration work?
• What blog service should I use?
• How should I host images and also zip/pdf files to share? I use photobucket now, but what are folks preferences?
• Tumbler, Deviantart, whatever. Which ones are worthwhile?
• Any other wild suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

but dude, spamming is what gets you noticed. There is way too much text here and not enough pictures.

Tho, after this, I will have to create something for PbP games, they kill this site, dead.

I use deviant art's free portfolio to show organized portfolios of images. Blogs can be grouped by subject, and you can host multiple blogs. Blogspot is one I use.

GG I see why you would want to do this, but when you guys post artwork it is insanely awesome. I don't think it's the least bit spammy.

Well I suppose my main reason for the questions is to unify all my game related art into a portfolio and share-point so to point others to it later down the line.
I know that the readers of NY Redbox are the center of known cultural consciousness but I have to make allotments for more primitive souls who may not be reading our wikidot forum.

I will continue to spam images on NY redbox.

cr0m told me to use Dreamhost a year or so ago when I set up the Adventuring Parties site.

I've been using WordPress for stuff. It's free, comes with some storage, and there's a huge installed user base for support.
