General question- if a party is camped out for the night in the wilderness, is the chance of an encounter greater, the same or less then when they are walking around in that area during the day?
One the one hand when they are walking around they are more likely to stumble across a lair or other nasty creatures. But on the other hand when they are camped out, it makes them a stationary target for a predator with a keen sense of smell. Or maybe they balance each other out and there is no difference in the probability…
I am just looking for peoples opinion, but if anyone knows specific rules that answer this question that would be welcome too.
Thanks!
