Carousing on the Wiki: One Page per Session or Per Character?

OK, so I've started looking at the way they do carousing in Glantri - an example is here. I like the idea of having carouses happen on the wiki, where it's easier to track, archive, and re-reference stuff that happens. However, I'm not sure whether to use:

One page per session format

• one page contains everyone's carousing following that adventure
• makes it easy to see what different PCs are doing at the same moment in time
• makes it easy to cross-reference what was happening in carousing with what was happening around that time in the table
• helps me resolve all carouses at one go and tell whether PCs have used their carouse for that time or not

One page per character format

• one page contains a single PC's carousing over time
• makes it easy to follow one PCs' evolution across sessions
• makes it easy to archive previous carouses without having to worry about exactly which session they happened after
• helps you stay focused on things that came up in your previous carouses when you propose new ones

What do y'all think?

I prefer one page per session, although I have not dealt with the mechanics of actually doing it either way.

I am a bit hazy on how I would get to that Session 63 summary without someone else posting a link: there seems to be a lot of wiki material for both campaigns that I do not know how to access. I thought it would be linked to thru here (http://redbox.wikidot.com/glantri-session-summaries) but no, that page ends with session 62.

Frankly I fail to see the problem with the way that it is being done at the moment. There seems to have been some talk about this at some point, but I was never privy to it. Could someone explain the issue to me?

There has been lots of talk, which you could find in the forums if finding things in the forums wasn't so difficult!

Listen not to the voices of these buzzing gnats. As your viking-hat DM, I sayest this in a loud, booming voice of Real Ultimate Truthiness: we shall switch to using the wiki to make it easier for me to follow what's going on. Wading through eight pages of forum posts when I need to find the name of the valkyrie who let you get to second base is growing unwieldy.

Oban: so one priority will be to make sure the wiki carouse pages are indexed by other pages. There's also a comments section that lets it show up in Recent Posts - that's how I found the Glantri one I linked above - and Recent Changes will show what's going on with the wiki pages.

Oban, there should be links back and forth to the relevant session summary. Someone just has to put them there. Likewise the index you pointed to, again someone has to be on the ball. Myself, I usually just look in the list under the tag 'glantri' or 'adventure', but (one more time!) someone has to put the tags on the pages.

But when we do it right, it makes the long story much easier to digest.

Charlatan, do you find it hard to manage your own thread across time? Would you feel less informed about what others are doing if they had their own pages?

I've been over-thinking this question. I can usually just remember the things that have happened to my characters. I suspect things would feel less related across characters if they all had their own pages, but that's entirely hypothetical.

I guess I'm leaning towards one page per session. That way we could keep up on what everyone else is doing. As we do it now, nothing keeps us from reading each other's carousing posts, but I know I usually don't. I guess the question is, do people want to see each others carousing? I think it would be nice and contribute to a general sense of "Hey, we're the Grey Company!", vs the "Hey, we're the Grey Company when we get together but oftentimes we're just individual shmoes."

As far as tracking your character over time, couldn't we just tag the page with the names of everyone who caroused in it? Then you would just use the tag for your character. Or after carousing you could copy and paste that info into a page for your character? Or just link to that page from your character page?

And having it as one page per session would probably make it easier for you Tavis, right?

Given the back and forth during some carousing sessions I lean strongly towards having individual carousing pages/sections. This would give people the option of reading other people's carousals or not, but more importantly it would avoid the massive cluster fuck that would be all the members of the Grey Company trying to write about their carousals on one page.

So, did we ever resolve this? I think I might actually have some carousals for EN Lightenment.
