I'm not sure if this is the right section of the forum to post this in, but if not then I hope that one of the administrators will move it.
I know that there are other people with thoughts on different aspects of game play here and perhaps they can add their thoughts to this forum as well. However, I just want to focus my attention on one thing that I've noticed in our sessions, or at least in our most recent session.
There were a couple instances when the party was split up in one way or another, where conceivably our characters would not have been able to speak with one another freely. However, people still offered suggestions for actions others might take or adjusted the acts of their own characters based on information they couldn't have had access to.
I am not interested in dictating to the group how we should or shouldn't play, though I do have my own preferences. While I don't always manage to keep to this rule, my feeling is that if my character isn't in the room or hasn't been told something s/he shouldn't act on it. It's hard to do sometimes because we're acting as a group and almost always in the group's collective interest and getting caught up in the moment it's hard not to shout out suggestions.
Maybe before the next time we meet we might have some discussion about how we can best manage play when there's a large group, including how we can more quickly reach a consensus on our actions and about how and when our characters should share information.
