It has come to my attention that certain players are frustrated by the glacial pace of Classic Dungeons & Dragons. For those who fall into this category, and dearly wish that something would happen instead of endless arguments about necessary vs. sufficient conditions to defraud Patriarch Zekon, I propose to run a fast-paced one-shot in which lots of stuff happens.
Slots: me + 3 to 4 people
Time: 1 to 2 sessions
System: probably In a Wicked Age, though I'd love to play more Sorcerer or Shadow of Yesterday (I know both of these systems very well). No need to be familiar with the rules. Both games are fast-paced, ruthless, and are full of people doin' stuff. If you are coming just to hang out cause it's nice to hang out, I don't want to see you at my table. Come to rock and be rocked, or don't come at all.
Special Requirements: To avoid the social stigma of confessing you're bored, players must sign up by private message to me. This thread is for questions and what-not, but not sign-ups. Please note that I know a bunch of people are enjoying their asses off in the White Box and Glantri games (I'm one of them). So you otherwise lucky people, you will be second-class candidates here: priority goes to people who are truly or partially bored by the pace. Affirmative action for the bored!
P.S. Doug, this goes for your guest and Ed, to the extent it applies to them, and I'd be willing to take any interest through word-of-mouth rather than PM.
