Hey. July 8th went well, glad we closed out the Lone Wolves adventure and we're looking at moving on to bigger and better FASERIP things.
However, I'd like to suggest something. I understand that the location at 31st & 5th "works" geographically for most of us, but the lack of AC in the basement area makes it untenable for gaming. I have at least 3 possible suggestions.
1. Cafe 28, at 28th & 5th. This is first because I think it's the most realistic option that I like. Cafe 28 is similar to Bread & Butter - but their seating is on the second floor and last time I was there it was well-maintained with HVAC. This is also the usual meeting place of the Story/Indie RPG Group on Meetup. which meets Tuesdays. The evening I went to visit them, there was also a Blood Bowl game happening. Suffice to say they're nice to gamers based on experience.
2. Move upstairs in B&B. We don't get loud, so I highly doubt they're going to kick us out if we're in the upstairs seating area. And, we'd be able to breathe.
3. Move to another open space in the City. If the members of the group are able to get to 53rd & Lex, I have nothing but positive things to say about the meeting space in the Atrium. It's also the single most popular Meetup meeting space in NYC. Most of the indoor public spaces I've found are well-maintained; I wouldn't mind any of them as long as we agreed in advance.
