The Sturdy Grip
Dardalion has always been enchanted by idea of the simple life of a common tavern owner. While the halfling-size inn the Guild has purchased may never become a viable enterprise, Dardalion wonders at the life that could have been… his songbird voice floats through the lilliputian halls of their tavern…
Gather 'round, my flacid friends, your attention I bequeath!
If you’re feeling sad or spent or simply weak down underneath.
We’ve built a place to sate your tastes and spend your fair rewards,
Where sinners, saints and undeclared can straighten out your swords.
Come in and lay your burdens down, loosen up your clothes
Lighten up your purses, release your heavy loads,
Our gentle hands will guide you on a fair and pleasant trip,
Or spank you like a priest if that’s your thing at the Sturdy Grip.
Our chef Jeff he stuffs the best: links, wieners, franks and wursts!
Our table staff will make you laugh, our bards will make you burst!
If you need to rest, our seats are soft, our linens are fine and clean
Or if you like 'em dirty we’ve got that too at the Sturdy Grip.
So bring yer gold and bring yer grin, you’ll soon be standin' proud,
The Sturdy Grip's the place to grace, come join the cheerful crowd.
Fill your plate, and drain your cup, take a a guzzle or a sip
Of all the lovely liquids we can drip at the Sturdy Grip!
Smiling wistfully, his eyes glistening with dreams of nights that could have been, Dardalion gently hangs a freshly painted signboard behind the bar - "The Sturdy Grip - We Hope You Come Again!"
