any one-shots happening that want a new player?

Hi all,

This place seems active, but I can't quite tell if new players are being taken on. If there are any campaigns or even one-shots that would like to try out a new player, say hi, please. I'm 35 and get along well, play nicely, observe Coolness, and so on. Just would love to get involved with RPGs in the area, especially Classic D&D.

Hi, John-

Our apologies. We currently have one weekly game running, but we aren't meeting this week so I guess nobody checked the forum.

Currently we have three players. Our five year+ game of Basic D&D is on hiatus so we've been running one shots, short campaigns, and sometimes just playing board games.

We'd certainly love to have more players! Next week, hopefully, we'll be playing (probably on Tuesday). If you check this forum you'll see a scheduling thread (usually it goes up on Sunday or Monday). The next step? Just show up! We meet at Cafe 28 (5th Ave and 28th st) starting at 6:30 PM, but typically people show up between 6:30 and 7:00. We'll do everything we can to make you feel welcome.
