The Neon Ninja's Neon Flare power isn't easy to handle in this system, but it basically blinds most folks in the same area. This makes them very easy to hit in hand-to-hand combat, while making it very hard for them to hit you. A pretty useful "buff" power when wading into a room full of thugs.

I am looking forward to a wild chase as the Mantis-Cycle has to go up against some crazy super-vehicle.

I was really impressed that the power stunt rules worked okay in SS02: they're part of the Advanced Game that always seemed broken to me. I guess we'll have to see how that develops over time, but potentially Chrononaut has a ton of astonishing stunts up his sleeve.

Right now the Starspanner seems to be in an information-gathering sort of mode, checking stuff out. What happens when he eventually comes to judgment?

Note that the Starspanner has the power of Mechanical Intuition, which lets him understand how to build almost anything imaginable. Under both the Basic and Advanced rules, there's a bottleneck in terms of paying for the invention, and as an alien on Earth the Starspanner doesn't have a lot of cash, but he has connections to Rich Uncle Moneybags an interstellar commercial guild, so that's something.

• a machine that can interface perfectly with the human nervous system
• has the ability to lift a city bus over his head
• has the coordination and agility of an Olympic gymnast
• is bullet proof
• and can somehow extract invidiual atoms or molecules or cats, from anywhere nearby

…And thinks it's just not good enough.

Note that Sea-Borg's Amazing Reason is the equivalent of Mister Fantastic or Doctor Doom (who, of course, exist in a different universe than our game). Seamus Borgnine may well be the smartest human being on Earth.
