Where do you go, or whom do you consult, for further information on Pyaray and his cult?

Upon awakening he'll spend a few days investigating this Pyaray—both in the context of the Ambervilles and in general. Does his cult have any beliefs, images, or habits that would make them stand out within the dungeon?

Wintergreen now has an entourage of three elves following him around. No one has ever seen this many elves in one place before! This is either wonderful or terrible.

In the dream, he wades through a vast artery, brilliant blood flowing around him. The coppery smell of blood fills his nostrils; the throb of a great, drumlike pulse thunders in his ears. He smiles as he climbs an ivory staircase out of the current, feeling a sense of rightness and peace.

Before him, a great sphincter opens. Ja' passes through. Beyond lies a cyclopean cavern of vascular muscle, rivulets of arterial and veinous blood cascading down the walls in frothing cataracts of red and blue. These flow into a swirling pool at the chamber's heart. From the pool rises a massive seat of living flesh, its livid surface crisscrossed with streaks and stripes of red, purple, brown, and white. The seat's towering occupant is splashed with blood from head to toe, his white beard drenched in crimson.

This is the Worldwound. This is the Throne of Scars. This is Ha'Pacrapis, God of Wounds, healer and destroyer.

"Ja'Tubis," he intones. "My student, my leech, my rebel, my prodigal. You have been unfaithful, you have suffered, you have walked the earth. You have earned absolution. You must regain your full strength.

"I now set you this task. Beneath the castle of the Ambrevilles stands a shrine to Pyaray, Lord of the Oceanic Abyss. He is kin to Umberlee, a Lord of Chaos. Seek the key. Breach the shrine. Pry the curséd jewel from his altar. Invoke my power. Break the jewel.

"With this service you shall be redeemed. I shall mend your wounded spirit. I shall restore the strength you have lost."

The vision begins to fade. Does Ja'Tubis say or do anything before the dream ends?

Both of them are potential hires. You can make reaction rolls at the table to confirm whether they'll work for you and to gauge their fees.

Some are distinctly inappropriate for her overall purposes.

Weefa. Audrey says that she understands the horror of watching the tribe get destroyed. In her mind, the younglings needed to be released from future servitude to the devil lord, as the adults were. She hopes to somehow ameliorate their current fate, but given the contracts they signed, there is little that can initially be done. Audrey says she is not seeking friendship, but to set things right for the youth, and that Weefa is a key figure in setting their future right.

Yvonne du Poisson. Audrey is concerned about this 'healthy obsession' with the squamous, which can be dangerous and blighting, or it can be a source of proper knowledge and care. She will ask to interview the young mage to inspect her actual interests. If it's closer to a Steve Irwin-type of infatuation, that's one thing. If it's a stylized, abstract and harmful romanticism, that's another.

She will like to hire both, if they make sense.

• Caraway of Myanar, a scandalous fertility priest from the backwoods of eastern Trintan. He claims that drinking and casual sex are part of his order's vows. Cheerful. Rarely sober.
• Daiza Koff, a middle-aged ranger known for telling long meandering stories about fishing up in the mountain lakes and streams. Always seen smoking his pipe. Collects pipeweed varietals and orc teeth.
• Father Mug, a perpetually cowled Darokinese cleric of the Builder in his aspect as “the Impartial One.” Something of a handyman. Obsessed with the dazzling variety of Glantrian cheeses.
• "Feisty" Nurmo: A glib and opinionated gnome adventurer with a nasty temper and a taste for mockery. Said to be almost entirely fearless. Often found drunkenly arguing politics in Low Waterside taverns.
• Naga Bob: A notorious thief, gambler and rogue from Southern lands. Wears naga-skin boots and a jeweled eyepatch that often switches from eye to eye. Rumor has it that he cannot die.
• Tarragon, a good-natured elf visiting from distant Alfheim, taking a break from some sort of obscure arcane responsibility. Treats all non-elves, including Audrey, as precocious children.
• Weefa, an elderly frogfolk shaman with one good eye. Angry at the humans who just destroyed her tribe (which includes Audrey), but willing to put that aside for the sake of the younglings.
• Yvonne du Poisson, a young magic-user from an impoverished Fulvienne cadet branch, previously apprenticed to Gaumont Ox-Eye. Loves the wilderness and has an unhealthy obsession with reptiles.

Optimally, her hirelings can help with the new orphanage set in the quarry. Anyone with wilderness, building, ecology, or administrative skills can help, whatever their classes. Given how unusual the frog- and lizard-kids are, she may need to seek individuals with outsider or marginal lifestyles similar to monks, rangers, anchorites, anarchists, and so on, whether human or demihuman, but also those inclined toward education and care.

On the off chance that someone else will want to run a session at some point, I'd like to run my Glantri PCs (Wintergreen and "Lord Zee") through the same post-timeskip tables that were available to all other players. But I figured I'd check in here to make sure that everyone is cool with that before I proceed. (I would presumably do this at the table like everyone else, to ensure I don't fudge my rolls and so y'all can heartily mock my poor rolls as per the fine traditions of our play group.)

Clotilde is happy to discuss the matter. "The Wyvern Hunters travel a lot," she says, "and I make sure that we swing past the shrines in the provinces to keep them fixed up and look out for the faithful. I guess that leaves the capital to you. I know that means dealing with the Temple of Trianoma, but Seffites are kind of expected to be wandering around. You don't need to be on call all the time."

She fixes Audrey with a stern eve. "But you do need to get yourself some acolytes. There aren't enough of us to go around. And once you get someone trained up, you can make them your vicar or deacon or whatever, and let then handle the political business you hate."

Let me know what sort of hirelings Audrey is looking for, and where she's looking for them!

Her first order of business is ensuring their safety. Realizing the townspeople may not be happy with their presence, she both seeks out ways to ameliorate the tensions and to find a suitable place for an orphanage, whether in or near the swamps or elsewhere. She will even consider placement in the city, if needed, but does not find this a long-term solution. The goal is for long-term independence, but also a mutual respect and cohesion between the two worlds (Glantrian and swamp-folk).

The sizeable earnings from the departure of the devil goes entirely to this endeavor, including hiring the right officials, teachers, and nurses to help. She has significant experience in this department following the war, having established orphanages thereafter for parent-less childen.

Meanwhile, she will discuss with Clotilde her role in the larger sect of Seff in the region. This means their closeness in moving ahead. Audrey will also seek out a hireling or two, finding the time is right to enjoin help in clearing out the remaining devils. Hopefully these individuals could also be involved in her larger prospects of bringing a better balance among the disrupted groups in the area. She does not wish to have devils take advantage of the straits of any other creatures enough to have their souls also pledged for comfort or safety.

I've also added a new level for "other dimensions", since I'm pretty sure Thomasina's Refuge goes off the edge of the map.

"I've no special business tonight," says Clotilde, "though tomorrow I'll be heading back north to Morlay. There have been lizardfolk and frogfolk raids on Ivernesse villages, and once I'm done here I'll need to help deal with the matter. Until then, though, I'd be happy to join you for a stroll or what have you."

"Fight is what I want," she chuckled, "Yes, obviously I will team up with any crew that will take up arms against the roiling masses of disorder. Better take up spear than yet another honey-gazed turkey leg." She blinked and paused. "Invernesse? Really? I've heard of this place." She tried to search what she remembered about it. "Infamous place. That's… yes, let me speak with my friends."

With this, she sighed. It was impossible to describe why she hung about with the grumpy, motley bunch of the Company of Crossed Swords rather than the like of the Wyvern Hunters. "Where are you off to, now? Care for a stroll?"

Taking an delicate sip of the tea (pinky up) Martin nods appreciatively as he settles himself on a cushioned setee while making pleasantries.

"Thank you for your hospitality, it is a shame to hear your husband is afield but I understand he keeps a busy schedule and has business in many sectors I bid you well, please do not hesitate to reach out if you require the services of The Company of Crossed Swords."

As he prepares to head into the sunny after noon, it occurs to Martin that being an adventurer involves a lot of tea parties.

"And yes," she adds, "you do give much away. Whatever's eating you, you should talk about it to someone. Seff helps those who're willing to accept it, and all that."

"Thank you so much for coming," she says as a maid pours tea with a generous splash of brandy, "but I'm afraid that Etienne is out of town, working with a colleague. I understand that it's a favor to your company; something about helping some dwarves find their home? If you have a message for him, I'll be glad to pass it along when he returns. I can reach out to him more directly if it's urgent."

"I'd like to trade my services for a bit of the Chateau's wealth. Whether that means selling you facts here in my townhouse or accompanying you to the Chateau for a share in the rewards is up to you.

After the recent success in their expedition to the Chambers of Thomasine D'Ambreville, Martín is intrigued about other concerntrations of power and wealth that might be found in the deeper levels of the Chateau, and will seek to call on Etienne D'Amreville. While he was somewhat unimpressed by Etienne's contribution in the last excursion in person, it's clear that the magus can be a valuable resource.

Martin would like to arrange a meeting. What sort of compensation would Etienne expect for a more detailed briefing on one or more of these sites? Ideally he would want a rough map, insight into the nature of the location, and any noteworthy guardians, traps or hazards that might have been in place at the time of the information.
