Deel

Mentioned in 22 Chains of Heaven as a god trapped by the Seree singularity. Deel at some point escaped their prison, and later returned with Cicollus and Panur to rescue several other gods. In this rescue attempt, Deel was supposedly killed with her own divine javelin by Zecoxy, a Seree forge-seer. Sigordine apparently formed from Deel's scattered energies.

08 The Coming of Sorg refers to Deel as the Protectress, and there's a mention in 22 Chains of Heaven of her javelin. It seems like she might be a solar deity. If so, that offers a nice tie-in with Jack Vance's Dying Earth stories, in which people worry the Sun will go out any day now, so why bother trying with anything.
