The Company Of Crossed Swords

Upon joining the party, Francois "Le Beau" declared the group to be a mercenary band, the "Company of Crossed Swords." Many of his fellows grasped the notion eagerly; Hamish named himself the Company's chaplain, while Era became the Company's self-styled "Captain of the Dragoon Lancers."

The Company Insignia is generally represented by two swords crossed beneath a baby. (The informal structure of the organization has spawned a number of variations, as have the influences of the occasional mind-controlling cursed weapon.)

Members of the company often reference a Company Charter. While the actual document has never been seen, its contents would seem to pertain primarily to the division of loot and proper usage of flaming oil.
