Cut reads over Hop-Frog's letters and personal effects, trying to determine a way to alert the wandering Ambrose Berbatov to his brother's demise. He also wonders whether the magic of Yakutz the bloody is bound up in the shaft, the head, or the tassels: Could a polearm be cut down to, say, a 4 or 5 foot shaft without losing its enchantments? Maybe Pritchard knows.
