Summary
Descending to the fifth level of the Chateau, the Company entered a ruined study containing a magnificent tome bound in green leather. But as Pritchard approached the tome, an eviscerated corpse on the floor rose up in ghastly animation, its tattered intestines lashing out like whips to strike and strangle!
Losses and Loot
The PCs defeated the undead remains of Reginald d'Alienor, a vulture-headed demon, two bloodbeak lizards, thirty-four goblins, eight ghouls, a cave bear, a tiger, a gryphon, a wyvern, twelve night hobgoblins, one night bugbear, and one giant scorpion.
Treasures acquired included a fine chair, several maps, a cursed tome bound in green leather, several non-magical books, three rings, a pendant, a demon heart, a gold ring, a silver necklace, a gold and silver box, dozens of banners, numerous animal heads and pelts, several suits of armor and numerous fine weapons.
For monsters defeated, treasure acquired and taxes paid, each party member received 2742gp and 1793xp.
